In a significant move for urban development, NADRA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Karachi Mega Centre, aiming to streamline citizen services across the city. The agreement was signed in a formal ceremony attended by senior officials from both NADRA and the Karachi municipal authorities.
The new Mega Centre will provide faster, centralized services including CNIC issuance, passport facilitation, and other essential government documentation. According to officials, this initiative will reduce long waiting times and improve the efficiency of citizen services in Karachi.
Senior NADRA representatives emphasized that the Karachi Mega Centre will use state-of-the-art technology to ensure smooth operations. “This centre represents a major step in making government services more accessible, transparent, and efficient for Karachi residents,” they stated.
Moreover, the MoU highlights a commitment to digital integration, with plans to link the Mega Centre with existing online platforms. This integration will allow residents to track applications, book appointments, and receive real-time updates, enhancing convenience and accountability.
The Karachi municipal authorities also welcomed the initiative, noting that the Mega Centre will help reduce bureaucratic hurdles while promoting urban development. Citizens have expressed optimism that the project will modernize service delivery and set a benchmark for other cities.
