The Karachi traffic department has announced that University Road will remain closed for K-IV water project work until December 30. The Karachi traffic update confirms that the closure is part of ongoing efforts to complete a major water supply project on time.
According to city officials, the Karachi’s University Road affects a busy stretch between NIPA Chowrangi and Safari Park. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes through Rashid Minhas Road and Johar Morr to avoid congestion.
The Water Board stated that the K-IV project aims to ensure long-term water supply improvement across Karachi. The Karachi University Road comes as teams install underground pipelines and upgrade drainage systems.
Authorities have deployed traffic wardens to manage the flow of vehicles during the closure. The Karachi traffic update also includes additional signboards and barriers to guide motorists safely.
Commuters are encouraged to plan travel times in advance, especially during peak hours. The Karachi traffic update indicates that work will continue day and night to finish the project before year-end.
