Karachi Weather Turns Breezy with Hazy Sunshine
The Karachi weather is expected to stay breezy and slightly hazy over the next 24 hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). Mild temperatures and light winds are likely to bring some comfort to residents after recent heat spells. However, hazy sunshine will dominate the skies throughout the day, keeping visibility slightly reduced in some areas.
PMD Forecast and Temperature Details
The PMD reported that the Karachi weather will remain mostly dry, with daytime temperatures ranging between 33°C and 35°C. Winds from the west and southwest are expected to continue at moderate speeds, helping disperse humidity levels in coastal areas. The night is likely to feel cooler, with minimum temperatures dropping to around 24°C.
Meteorologists noted that the sea breeze has partially returned, bringing slight relief from the humidity that had been lingering for several days. However, the haze is expected to persist due to air pollution and suspended dust particles over the city.
Air Quality and Health Advisory
The Karachi weather may feel pleasant for most people, but air quality remains a concern. The city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) continues to fluctuate between “moderate” and “unhealthy for sensitive groups.” Experts advised citizens, especially those with respiratory conditions, to limit outdoor activities during midday hours.
Environmental specialists also urged residents to wear masks if venturing outdoors for extended periods. The combination of dust, smoke, and humidity can aggravate breathing issues, particularly among older adults and children.
Outlook for Coming Days
The Karachi weather pattern for the next few days suggests no significant rain or temperature drop. The PMD expects the haze to persist, especially during early morning and late evening hours. Citizens are advised to stay hydrated, use sunscreen, and avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure.
Meteorologists say the current pattern will likely continue until midweek when a weak westerly wave could slightly improve visibility. However, the overall conditions will remain stable with gentle breezes and hazy sunshine.
